Description

Derbyshire County Council is holding a provider network event on Wednesday 14 May 2014 at:

County Hall
Smedley Street
Matlock
Derbyshire
DE4 3AG

The purpose of the event is to present the new Derbyshire Integrated Wellbeing Approach model to potential providers prior to issuing the Invitation to Tender.

• Session 1: 4.15 – 6.15pm – Primary Contractor Role

• Session 2: 6.15 – 7.15pm – Accredited Provider Role

The Derbyshire Integrated Wellbeing Approach aims to offer person-centred service provision ensuring equitable access to the residents of Derbyshire. Central to the approach is the availability of locally accessible, quality-assured services provided according to need.

Accredited provider networks will be developed to deliver services for smoking cessation and weight management to the local population across Derbyshire (excluding Derby City) with an additional accredited provider network for delivery of health checks (in South Derbyshire only).

Service start date: Late 2014.

Network Event

Session 1: Primary Contractor Role – 4:15 – 6:15pm

The Primary Contractor will:
• Provide leadership and management for all aspects of integrated wellbeing approach including contracting with accredited provider to deliver services in the specified geographical area
• Be responsible for coordination, quality assurance, clinical governance, monitoring of the approach and making payments to accredited providers.

Session 2: Accredited Providers 6:15 – 7:15pm

Accredited providers will:
• Be required to meet, sustain and work to a set of quality and competency standards and to specified service
• Be paid based on activity and outcome criteria.
Examples of organisation that may be interest in the accredited provider role are GP Practices, Pharmacies and Community Health Services.
