The Authority requires a contractor to undertake the Design and Build of the Ely Southern Bypass. Stage 1 works for the bypass (‘Developed Design’) shall be awarded under the NEC3 Professional Services Contract Option A (Priced Contract with Activity Schedule) and Stage 2 works (‘Technical Design’ and Build) shall be awarded following completion of Stage 1 under NEC 3 Option D (target contract with bill of quantities). (‘Developed Design’ and ‘Technical Design’ shall be in accordance with RIBA Stage 3 — industry standard).
Based on the preliminary design used in the planning application in 2012 the total scheme cost was estimated as 31 000 000 GBP. This is subject to construction inflation and is now estimated at 35 000 000 GBP at 2015 prices.

The Authority requires a contractor to undertake the Design and Build of the Ely Southern Bypass. VI.4.2)Lodging of appeals

The duration of this standstill will be disclosed at this point. This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before the contract is entered into.
