The University has already award contracts two Blocks on it’s Manor Park Campus for Blocks P & Q and is now planning further construction work on the Manor Park Campus.
This notice therefore seeks expressions of interest from design and build Contractors for a student accommodation building, Block R.
Block R accommodation is 674 Number Standard and enhanced Rooms with ensuite shower rooms (about 19 750 m²); including a laundry and communal study space. 7 Number rooms will be accessible bedrooms.
The accommodation Block is five storeys and will comprise of a concrete frame with flat slab and insitu concrete columns on a piled substructure, faced brickwork external walls including architectural recesses with trussed pitched roofs with slate tiles, together with on-site infrastructure works, road, balancing pond, sewers, external works and minor buildings.
The standard rooms are grouped into clusters of between 3 and 8 bedroom flats with communal kitchen and dining area.
The procurement route will be two stage design and build.
