The freehold interest of Layden House is vested in Local Government Management Board Ltd. It is a multi-let 1970s property providing, in its current configuration, well located economical office space. Layden House represents opportunity for the Local Government Association (LGA) to significantly improve the value and rental income derived from the property.
The LGA wish to appoint a Development Manager at the earliest opportunity to procure and progress the professional services required to undertake design development and delivery of a Major Refurbishment (structural alterations and extension) with retail at ground floor and offices on the two new upper floors to the Layden house site.

The LGA are looking to appoint a Development Manager to realise their vision and aims through to completion of the project. The scope will include advising the LGA in connection with all stages of the project, planning, organisation, management, control and delivery of the project including but not limited to the agreement of the brief, design, tendering, procurement, delivery and handover of the construction project, obtaining all necessary consents, the selection, procurement and appointment of all necessary consultants and integrated design team, tendering, procurement and appointment of a construction partner / contractor in connection with the delivery of the construction project.
