Derbyshire County Council, Cultural and Community Services, is inviting quotations for a Freelance Digital Interpretation Developer to produce a digital interpretation of the Boyd Dawkins Study at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery. The project will be undertaken between 2nd January and 31st March 2013.
Buxton Museum and Art Gallery is an Accredited museum, with over 40,000 visitors a year. Arts Council England Renaissance Strategic Support Funding has provided resources to improve the digital interpretation of the Boyd Dawkins Study, a recreated historic interior displaying furniture, geologist’s equipment, a library and an accumulation of ethnography, archaeology and social history. We are looking to make this traditional and apparently inaccessible gallery space more accessible using an innovative digital solution.
The successful bidder will recommend, develop and deliver digital interpretation both in the gallery and that can be accessed remotely.
