St Helens Council
Repairs to St Helens Council Registers (Births, Marriages, Deaths): Call-off contract
None
St. Helens Register Office requires repairs and rebinding to a selection of the registers held, of which some date back to 1837. The registers have recently been digitised – and the Registar Service are now looking for a company who can provide minor / major repairs, resewing and re-covering service.

The service holds approximately 1800 registers, not all require repairing – and those that do, are in varying degrees of dis-repair.

It is planned that the work to the registers will be done in stages as budgets allow – with work plans to be agreed with the client department and the successful supplier.

This Call-off contract will cover the initial requirement of repairs and any further requirements up over a 3 year period.

As all registers need to be assessed by Council staff – the quantity required past the initial requirement is currently undecided, therefore St.Helens Council cannot guarantee the actual quantities required over the period of the contract of the registers available.
