The current service provider for the services detailed in this requirement is The College of Social Work (TCSW) which will close by the 30.9.2015. The Department is seeking to protect its previous investment and to ensure the continuity of the services following the expiry of the current contract by ensuring that the government funded services and products currently provided by TCSW remain available to the social work sector. The proposed tender is for provision of 4 specific services and the period of the proposed contract is 2 years starting in October 2015 with a potential extension of a further 1 year. The services are:
— Hosting on a website various publications that were commissioned by government,
— Hosting the principal social worker (PSW) network (adults),
— Hosting the principal social worker network (PSW) (children’s), and
— Certification of the assessed and supported year in employment (ASYE) (adults).
Due to the urgency of the requirement, the procurement is being carried out as open-accelerated.
This procurement is being undertaken by the DH on behalf of and/or for use by the Department for Education (DfE) who hold responsibility for 1 of the services required, the principal social workers (PSW) network, Children’s c A\ZXC.

The Authority reserves the right to terminate the procurement process (or part of it) to change the basis of and the procedures for the procurement process at any time or to procure the subject matter of the contract by alternative means, if it appears that it can be more advantageously procured by alternative means. The most economically advantageous or any tender will not automatically be accepted. Tenders and all supporting documentation for the Contract must be priced in sterling and written in English. Any agreement entered into will be considered a Contract made in England according to English law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. Please note that the duration specified in Section II.3) excludes the optional 12 month extension. The length of time the tender must be maintained for is 90 days which starts from the submission of the ITT (the bid).
