1)Short description

Defined as systems over 70 kW. Pricing will be based on a schedule of rates. The requirement is for the service provider to carry out annual safety checking/servicing and responsive maintenance repairs of LPG, Oil, Solid Fuel and Gas Fired commercial appliances, including out-of-hours emergency works with the provision for future tendered installations, renewables and water hygiene services.

1)Short description

The requirement is to carry out a full planned and preventative water hygiene management and ‘Legionella’ testing service in accordance with BS:7592, the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and the HSE Approved Code of Practice and Guidance (L8). Any associated remedial works to communal facilities as well as individual sheltered and supported units are included.

1)Short description

The requirement is to provide the supply, design, installation, maintenance of Microgeneration Renewable Technologies and Solar Photovoltaics. 1)Short description

SEC members are increasingly looking to work directly with distributors for the supply of boilers, renewables and ancillary products. SEC will encourage the use of this lot to increase efficiencies through rebates. Rates will be reconciled each year to capture percentage saving adjustments based on rebates obtained.

Lot No: 1Lot title: Servicing, Breakdown (3 Star) and Installations for Domestic Heating Systems

1)Short description

Members expect their domestic heating appliances to last for at least 15 years and systems up to 30 years. The requirement is for the service provider to ensure heating systems are kept operational, efficient and safe through a fully comprehensive 3 star service agreement. The provision will comprise of preventative maintenance, responsive repairs, safety checks and issue of annual Landlords Gas Safety Records. The service allows for additional services such as installations, renewables, commercial system servicing and water hygiene services. A full breakdown of the scope can be found in the specification.

Defined as systems under 70 kW. SEC has fixed the cost per property rate per calendar year to range around 115 GBP + VAT. This will counteract abnormally low bidding. The agreed LGSR cycle will not affect the price. Members can, if they wish mini tender the figure will become a guide ceiling rate.
The Service Provider will provide a 24/7, 365 days a year servicing and fully comprehensive breakdown cover, to all parts of a domestic heating system, (contracts that include solar thermal, biomass, air/ground source systems will receive an additional 10 GBP per property per year) and appliances owned by the landlord including a visual inspection for gas cooking appliances.

The breakdown service will be 1/12th of the annual contract price per month. (The cost per property price split is 60 % breakdown and 40 % servicing). Servicing will be paid monthly in arrears on submission of a valid LGSR. Any resident owned gas fire will require a flue flow and spillage test to include inspection of catchment area as a minimum in order to fulfil the landlord’s heath and safety responsibilities.
