Reading Borough Council (RBC) are expecting to start the formal procurement exercise to renew the existing DASL for home care provision for Individuals in November 2014, ready for a new framework to be in place by April 2015.
The Council has been engaging with providers in recent months about how best to implement some of the considerations within the framework such as Outcomes Based Commissioning, the UNISON Ethical Care Charter and Integration of Health and Social Care
A provider event is being organised to present to providers a summary of the main changes and an opportunity for providers to comment on the Service Specification and the Protocol. This event will also provide an additional opportunity for providers to raise any further issues they wish to bring to our attention before the procurement process is formally started.
A provider event is being held from 10am – 12pm on 28th October 2014, Kennet Room, Civic Centre, Reading.
To book a place at the event, please email: Iftkhar.email@example.com
with the subject heading ‘DASL Provider Event’ together with the name of your attendees.
Please note attendance may be limited to a maximum of one representative per organisation. All emails will be acknowledged.
Following this event there will also be an optional workshop about integration and 7 day working in Reading which potential providers are welcome to attend.
This will explore the Councils plans for integration and 7 day working and how proposed schemes and new ways of working will interface with and impact on our partners.
If you would like to attend this workshop please email us when booking for the DASL provider event and further information will be sent to you.
