Description

Tenders are invited for the supply of Domiciliary Care and support, on a planned and unplanned basis, for adults living at the Sunnyfield Extra Care site.

The site will be operational in January 2015, with the first occupancy from 26th January 2015 on a sliding scale of 10 per week. The Housing Provider has arrange for onsite training on the 19th and 20th January to cover safety, warden call system and onsite requirements the Provider will need to arrange for their staff to be available for this training

The tender is split into two Lots as follows:

Lot 1 – Emergency 24/7 Support and planned domiciliary care:

Planned care – Unless individuals request to receive a Direct Payment to purchase planned care, providers will be offered care packages relating to Sunnyfield and will be expected to undertake all packages offered to them. The Council has a maximum set rate for the provision of planned Domiciliary Care services, details of which can be found in the tender.

24/7 support – Providers will be expected to have an on-site 24/7 emergency care provision, for which a charge will be levied and collected by the Provider directly from the tenants. This provision must be able to respond in an emergency of any tenant within Sunnyfields, regardless of whether they have a current planned care package.

Lot 2 – Core Support:

Providers will be expected to provide a complimentary support service to that provided by the Housing provider. This will ensure that the Extra Care environment is vibrant, safe and enable individuals to remain living independently within their own tenancies by making best use of the on-site facilities and care provision.

Suppliers can choose to bid on the following basis

• Lot 1 only
• Lot 1 and Lot 2.

Please note, if bidding for Lot 2, suppliers must bid for Lot 1 also. Suppliers are not permitted to bid for Lot 2 only. Whilst the aspiration is to award all Lots, the Council reserves the right not to award all or any of the Lots. For example, we may award Lot 1 only.
