The proposed Framework Agreement includes, but is not limited to, the provision of general civil engineering works which could range from:

All ‘call-off’ contracts will be based on the Terms and Conditions detailed in this Schedule and the tender responses submitted by each Bidder during the formal tender process.
The Council makes no guarantee that they will be awarded any contract and no guarantee is made in respect of any volume of work under any such agreements, or in aggregate under the Framework Agreement.
This procurement exercise is for the implementation of a Framework Agreement for the delivery of Civil Engineering Works valued between 50 000 GBP and 500 000 GBP on behalf of Durham County Council (‘The Authority’). The main users of the Framework Agreement will be Technical Services, Highway Services Department however the Framework will be available for use by Durham County Council or associated bodies.
Following this tender exercise a maximum number of Six bidders who achieve the highest weighted tender score will be awarded a position on the Framework ranked in order of their scores achieved at tender stage.
For all Call-Off Contracts for Civil Engineering Works which the Council estimates costs will be between 50 000 GBP and 500 000 GBP; a further competition exercise will be undertaken via this Framework. All Contractors awarded a position on the Framework will be invited to take part in each further competition.
Each further competition will be based on a 100 % price evaluation. Each Bidder should understand that the acceptance of a Tender by the Council and the subsequent entry into the Framework Agreement by the Council with a Bidder merely affords the Bidder the opportunity (but not the obligation) to respond to further competition invitations from the Council to enter into project specific Contracts.
