Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) owns the regulated electricity transmission and distribution network in Northern Ireland. NIE is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the network as well as the operation of the electricity distribution network, which transports electricity to over 840 000 customers.
NIE operates on a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year basis because of our emergency provision responsibilities and licence obligations.
NIE wishes to appoint Contractors under framework agreements for the provision of Electrical Installation Services including (but not limited to) the following activities:
Lot 1 – Meter Installation Services
Lot 2 – Meter Certification Services
Lot 3 – Undereave and Service Cable Replacement
Lot 4 – Substation Electrical Installation Services

1)Short description:

Lot 1 consists of primarily customer appointment metering services which includes domestic and small commercial customers. The services shall be carried out province wide and involves meter installations and verification of meters.

Lot 2 consists of a programme of certification on electricity meters. The services provided under this lot shall consist primarily of customer appointment metering certification services which includes domestic and small commercial customers province wide.

ii) Replacement of LV Compound Filled Cut-Outs. Replacement of LV compound filled cut-outs which will required service duct installation and service cable extension.
