Description
The Council wishes to appoint an Electrical Contractor to carry out electrical upgrade works to the Northampton Central Library building. The electrical contractor will be expected to comply with the works specification which will include the following scope of works:
Electrical Distribution Main Works
• Switch Panel Services (Replacement of all obsolete and non-compliant equipment)
• Wiring installation and containment
Emergency Lighting Main Works
• Emergency lighting as retro to existing lighting
• Redecorations and removals
Fire Alarm System Main Works
• Installation of addressable BS5839 Cat L2 system (wired). The system will include interconnection with the existing basement smoke extract system.
Hearing Assistance Main Works
• Provision of hearing assistance system will be for four positions (1 at basement, 2 at ground and 1 at 1st floor level)
