1. The embodiment of a Modification (Traffic Avoidance System (TAS), Global Positioning System (GPS) and 2nd VHF Radio) by a MAOS approved Contractor on up to a maximum of quality 25 Gazelle AH 1 Helicopters. The contractors MAOS approval must include the authority to maintain and modify the Gazelle AH 1 and the contractor shall be required to provide evidence that they have the requisite MAOS approval or able to gain the required MAOS approval by the expected date for contract award. The Modification embodiment shall be completed at up to two different MOD airfield sites and the equipment and supporting documentation required to undertake the modification (including Mod Kits containing Brackets, Panel and Wiring) will be provided as Government Furnished Assets, all tools and test equipment required for the modification embodiment shall be supplied by the contractor. Post embodiment flight tests will require to be carried out on the aircraft, all flight tests shall be carried out by MOD Aircrew. The scope may be extended to consider bids to include modification on the contractors premises, provided the facilities are included in the MAOS approval and they have the capability and MAA CFAOS approval to conduct the flight testing.
2. In addition the Authority will be seeking Firm Priced options to undertake the following activities in parallel with embodiment of the modifications:
a. Additional modification embodiments on selected aircraft.
b. Undertake Depth Maintenance on up to quality 4 aircraft.
