- Provision of an Emergency Support Scheme in the London Borough of Redbridge
- The London Borough of Redbridge (“the Council”) is seeking quotations from suitably experienced and qualified organisations for the Provision of an Emergency Support Scheme in the London Borough of Redbridge (“the Agreement”). The Agreement will commence on 1st April 2015 and shall continue up to and including 31st March 2017 (the “Agreement Period”).
As part of the Welfare Reform Act 2012, with effect from 1st April 2013, the Government transferred the former Crisis Loan and Community Care functions of the Discretionary Social Fund to Local Authorities to deliver in a way that meets local need. As a result of this, each Local Authority now delivers its own Emergency Support Scheme (“the Service”) to accommodate the Crisis Loan and Community Care Grant functions.
Organisations wishing to submit a Quotation are required to complete a Quotation Questionnaire to ascertain the organisation’s financial viability, technical capacity, experience in delivering similar high quality services, satisfactory policies on Equalities, Health and Safety, Prevention of Bribery and Environment and Sustainability and also the provision of satisfactory references. This information will be used by the Council to establish that organisations are financially viable and technically capable of undertaking the Agreement. The Council shall only fully evaluate Quotations submitted by those organisations that satisfy the requirements of the Quotation Questionnaire.
