Description of the goods or services required

The Scottish Parliament Corporate Body (SPCB) requires the services of an Energy Strategy Consultant to provide potential strategies for energy (heat and power) supply at the Scottish Parliament’s Holyrood campus, going through to 2050.

From 2020 and beyond, Scotland has a requirement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions significantly. The Scottish Government has a target to reduce emissions by 80% by 2050.

In order to achieve this reduction in emissions, the SPCB is reviewing how the energy system that powers the heating, cooling, lighting and equipment at the Holyrood campus can be best designed for the future.
