The Western Education and Library Board invite applications from competent and Architect led design teams (comprising Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Mechanical and Electrical Services Engineer (including BREEAM assessor), Civil and Structural Engineer and CDM Co-Ordinator wishing to be considered for inclusion on a select list for the full design and management service for the construction of a New Replacement School including School Meals Accommodation and Speech and Language provision on the existing Enniskillen Model Primary School Site with associated temporary accommodation, decanting requirements, demolitions and site works. Refurbishment works to the existing listed Model School House building may also be included in this project.
The single school based on 16 classrooms plus school meals accommodation for the provision of 300 meals plus 2 additional classrooms for speech and language provisions for pupils is to meet a long term enrolment of approximately 436 – 465 pupils. Approximate total area 3 143 m².
Approved Department of Education Costs in the amount of GBP 5,70 million.
The Economic Operator shall take responsibility and revisit all information provided by the Western Education and Library Board for the exemplar design which has been completed to RIBA Stage C, bring forward the exemplar design to provide updated design proposals. These proposals must meet current Department of Education Handbook and associated Building Bulletins requirements with all associated costs and the like in order to successfully deliver the project.
The Economic Operator shall act as Project Manager under the terms and conditions as required in the management of the NEC Form of Contract. Ensure that rigorous quality management and supervisory procedures are in place throughout the construction phase.
The form of Contract will be carried out using the New Engineering Contract 3rd Edition (NEC) Professional Services Contract. The form of Contract to deliver the capital woks will be options within NEC3 therefore experience of its use will be desirable.
