Description of the contract

1.1 In October 2012, GDS released GOV.UK, the government’s single domain on the web. GOV.UK replaced the BusinessLink and Directgov websites. Business Events Finder was one of the services transitioned from BusinessLink onto its own domain at http://www.business-events.org.uk/ 1.2 Business Events Finder offers listings of business-related training, workshops, seminars and networking events from a variety of organisations in the UK. 1.3 Event organisers wishing to use the Business Events Finder service must first register. This is followed by an approval process where they are assessed for eligibility and trained to use the system. Once registered and approved organisers can then advertise their events, handle bookings and take payments via the service. 1.4 GDS is looking for a supplier to manage event organiser registration and approval, event moderation and acceptance, webinar training and general support for event organisers.
