At the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy the Authority hosts the world’s largest magnetic fusion experiment, JET (Joint European Torus), on behalf of its European partners. The JET facilities are collectively used by all European fusion laboratories under the EUROfusion consortium.
The Authority has a requirement for the fabrication, machining, welding and testing (pressure and vacuum) of copper J plates associated with the JET facilities.
The works are to be carried out in an acceptably, safe and environmentally responsible manner and all personnel are to be suitably qualified and experienced for the nature of the contract.

Cost of tendering: The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority reserve the right not to award a contract. The costs of tendering shall be the responsibility of tenderers.
English law: The contract shall be considered as a contract made in England and shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the provisions of English Law.
Annulment: The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority reserve the right to annul the tendering process and not award a contract.
