Description

Tenders are invited for various works to this grade 2 listed building. They are available in parts or as a whole. Please request the full list of tender documents.
All works require a site visit before quotes are prepared to ensure all elements of the work are carried out.

All contractors must be able to show a history of working on listed buildings, and have a knowledge of heritage restoration techniques.
Works involved will cover the following items

1. Repointing of brickwork to the front and side elevations
2. Removal and reinstatement of badly laid brickwork to the side elevation
3. Repairs to a number of sandstone window sills
4. Manufacture of three new matching window sills
5. Installation of blue brick sills to three window openings
6. Redress and replace corbels at roof height
7. Removal and rebuilding of side entrance wall
8. Break out a concrete covered courtyard, and reinstate blue brick paviours
9. Renovate a white glazed brick wall, including rake out and re-mortar, replacing any damaged, and re-glazing any damaged bricks
10. Repairs to the roof, including repairs to box guttering, replacement lead to all valleys, box gutters, chimneys etc. resetting of ridge tiles, repoint two chimneys, rebuild one chimney
11. Erection of a full scaffold to enable works to this property
12. Removal of redundant electrical cabling to the front and side elevations of the building
13. renovate, remanufacture and manufacture new box sash and simple sash windows and external doors
14. repair and replace cast iron guttering and downpipes
15. repair an existing pavement light

A site inspection is essential in order to cost these works. All contractors will be required to complete a contractor reference form to confirm suitability to work on a grade 2 listed building
