The works will comprise the major internal and external refurbishment of Neville Hall, which is a Grade II listed building in Newcastle upon Tyne. It has been the home of the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers (NEIMME) since 1852. More details are provided in the procurement documents. The cost of the works is expected to be approximately 5 000 000 GBP (excluding VAT) and expected to be undertaken between August 2019 and August 2020. Funding for the project has been sourced from a number of donors together with significant match funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The works will comprise the major internal and external refurbishment of Neville Hall, which is a Grade II listed building in Newcastle upon Tyne. It has been the home of the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers (NEIMME) since 1852. More details are provided in the procurement documents. The cost of the works is expected to be approximately 5 000 000 GBP (excluding VAT) and expected to be undertaken between August 2019 and August 2020. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in sterling and all payments made in relation to the project will be made in sterling.

Any resulting contract will be considered as a contract made in England according to English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. All discussions will be n English.

The Contracting Authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves the right to cancel this award procedure at any time.

The contract award criteria will be provided in the invitation to tender.
