Description of the contract

Breckland Council is seeking a contractor to assist and work closely in partnership with the Grants4Growth Project team (www.grants4growth.org.uk) in the delivery of the project and its primary outcomes. The Programme Manager has identified the need to augment the exisiting team with additional capabilities to assist with promoting to and the identification of suitable SMEs primarily in the six local authority areas of Cambridgeshire for capital grants. This would also entail the carrying out the initial pre-application checks, referral to the project team for financial checks then a full Business Broker service to facilitate and support teh SME business to submit a vialble and successful application. The focus therefore would be to identify suitable SME businesses located within the County of Cambridgeshire and unitary authority of Peterborough, all of which reside in the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership area. This will require the successful contractorto be based in Cambridgeshire and to develop and instigate their own flexible marketing and networking activities that take into account the short timescales and geographical location in order to engage at least 56 SMEs to the point of successful capital grant offer by 31 December 2014.
