Description

Leicester City Council wishes to appoint a company to design De Montfort Hall’s (DMH) printed materials including the season brochure, print and online adverts, to the following specifications:

Season Brochure

The season brochure will be required three times a year – Autumn, Spring and Summer – with the potential to extend the contract for an additional year and will include listings and information for all shows currently on sale.

The supplier will be required to provide design, project manage, supply multiple amends as required and final artworking to create a 24 page, A5 full colour brochure. The design can be based on the current De Montfort Hall brochure format, although design updates will be required for each brochure.

The brochure will consist of:

(a) Front cover.

(b) Diary page.

(c) 21 pages of events listings, including bespoke show entry designs where necessary.

(d) Booking information page.

De Montfort Hall will supply:

(a) All text and high resolution images.

(b) Design schedule and deadline plan.

(c) Pagination plans.

(d) Emailed directions for amends.

The supplier will be required to:

(a) Meet with representatives from De Montfort Hall regularly throughout the project.

(b) Keep in regular contact regarding the progress of the project and adhere to deadlines.

(c) Respond quickly to De Montfort Hall regarding the project.

(d) Supply proofs as required according to the design schedule.

(e) Supply proofs as low and high resolution single PDF documents as well as separate pages.

(f) Supply high resolution PDFs and print-ready final artwork to the chosen printer and De Montfort Hall (artwork to remain property of De Montfort Hall.)

(g) Supply lower resolution PDFs suitable to be used online.

(h) Supply final brochure as a text-only document (for production of braille and audio brochure in-house).

(i) Design the envelope for the brochure mailing.

Work must be completed accurately with attention to detail, including booking information for shows such as ticket prices, times and additional information where required.

Advertising Design

To design advertising for De Montfort Hall’s printed and online media – magazines, newspapers, outdoor media, websites and emails etc, including regular ladder adverts, one-off solus adverts and additional adverts as required.

(a) To design adverts to the correct, accurate specifications required by the media.

(b) To create and supply artwork templates for use with standard De Montfort Hall ladder advert.

(c) To update designs where necessary.

(d) To provide proofs and amendments as required.

(e) To provide a cost for a complete advert produced as a print ready PDF to requirements and specifications.

(f) To provide a cost for a re-sized advert produced as a print ready PDF to requirements and specifications.

All specifications, text and images will be supplied by De Montfort Hall.

Suppliers must be able to work to tight deadlines as a fast and accurate turnaround of artwork will be required.

Only quotations on the form below will be accepted. However, any supporting documents will be considered.

This should be returned by 16:00hrs on 4 June 2014 at the very latest.
