Grounds maintenance services. Landscaping work for sports grounds and recreational areas. Landscaping work for playgrounds. The Borough of Telford & Wrekin Council is inviting tenders from suitably experienced and qualified contractors for the provision of grounds maintenance at Telford & Wrekin schools, including grass cutting, hedge cutting and trimming, shrub and flower bed maintenance and weeding, sports pitch and playground marking.
The Council will provide the contractor with a list of all school sites and contact points once the contract has been awarded. The Council has numerous school sites, however no guarantee can be made in relation to the number of schools that will use this contract.
The Schools’ Grounds Maintenance framework is to run from 1.1.2013 for a period of twenty seven months terminating on the 31.3.2015.
No volume of orders is guaranteed under any resulting call-off from this framework agreement. Any resulting call-off will be for 12 months in the first instance.

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement,and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
