Devon and Cornwall Housing group owns over 18,000 properties in Devon and Cornwall. These are managed by Penwith Housing Association (PHA) in Cornwall and Tor Homes in Devon.

Penwith Housing Association (PHA) is part of the Devon & Cornwall Housing group (DCH). PHA manages DCH stock in Cornwall. The name of the Client at the time of entering the contract will be DCH.
PHA manages 6490 domestic properties in Cornwall. It has offices in Penzance, Hayle, Truro and Liskeard and facilities with “communal areas” for tenants and residents in approximately 247 locations.
Overview of our requirement
PHA is tendering for the provision of a 2 year grounds maintenance contract, commencing on 1.7.2013 or any other date agreed by the contractor(s) and PHA for residential communal areas in Cornwall.
It is proposed to include the following in the Grounds Maintenance contract:
1) Communal grass cutting and edging and clearing
away all grass cuttings
2) Fortnightly litter picking of all neighbourhoods
3) Leaf collection
4) Maintenance and inspection of planted areas
5) Weed control on footpaths and hard surfaces
The contract will contain the provision to extend the contract by one extension of 12 months.
DCH has an ongoing development programme in Cornwall, which may result in properties being added to or omitted from the property list during the contract, for example, where new stock is acquired or disposed of or where existing contracts are in place and are yet to come to an end.
