Description of the goods or services required

The Highways Weed Control Service includes the provision of scheduled applications consisting of a single annual treatment of all emerged weeds on highway channels and footways and a selective treatment of emerged difficult weeds in verges. These will comprise of trunk and county roads. The work is to be performed in Gwynedd based on the Arfon, Dwyfor and Meirionnydd Highway Maintenance Area Offices, as three tender areas of work.

Minimum standards and qualification required

Within the tender, contractors will be expected to pass a qualification element, in order to allow the remaining of their tender to be considered. The Invitation to tender questionnaire can be found within the E-tenderwales website (instructions given within the ‘Additonal information’ section.

This tender will be evaluated on a 75% Price / 25% Quality basis.
