Description of the contract

Norfolk County Council currently manages Gypsy and Traveller sites across Norfolk. The council wishes to ensure a successful and ongoing service that meets the needs of the Gypsy and Traveller residents. To this aim, we are to carry out a procurement process for interested parties to bid for the concession to take on both the lease(s) and management of the site(s). This service will be funded by concession arrangement. To begin this process, the council is carrying out a viability day. The aim of this day is: • To inform you of our intentions and what we hope to achieve. • To inform you of how we intend to do this. • To ensure our ambitions and objectives are achievable. • To identify preferences of length of lease. • To ascertain what bidders see as areas of risk. • To find out what, (if anything) would stop you bidding. • To establish what information you need to help you complete your bid. There will be an opportunity to also ask questions. We are intending to hold this event week commencing 9th July 2012.
