The Airport has a significant number of contractors on-site delivering a range of diverse general maintenance and support services that can be categorised as ‘Hard’ and ‘Soft’ FM activities. These are often delivered in highly regulated ‘airside environments’.
In addition to this, the Airport self-delivers some non-core, ‘low-tech’ activities which it believes can be easily transferred and undertaken by a FM provider.
The aim of this procurement exercise is to enter into an agreement with a single provider of ‘Hard’ Facilities Management services and a single provider of ‘Soft’ Facilities Management services, with an option to appoint a single provider for both ‘Hard’ and ‘Soft’ FM Services, for an initial term of five years, that is capable of delivering the full scope of the requirements of the Airport in a manner which achieves the following:-

Delivers cost savings

Delivers improved performance (cost and quality)

Seeks continuous improvement as the relationship matures

Provides greater transparency

Allows the Airport to manage its assets in a more strategic manner.
