The National Ambulance Resilience Unit, NARU (hosted by West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust) are undertaking a Procurement process to identify the next generation of the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) vehicle fleet. The framework provision will be for the IT technology, a separate Tender is being conducted for the provision of the Vehicles as follows:
Lot 1 — Primary Responder 4 x 4 vehicle;
Lot 2 — Secondary Responder 4 x 4 vehicle;
Lot 3 — Personnel Carrier vehicle;
Lot 4 — Staff Welfare/Resupply vehicle;
Lot 5 — All Terrain Vehicle (ATV).
The awarded supplier will be expected to work in partnership with the supplier(s) awarded any of the lots in the vehicle fleet framework to ensure the technology and the vehicles are delivered to Trusts in a state of readiness.
This contract will be a sole award to one supplier.
This contract will allow for all UK Ambulance services to procure from by a direct award or by conducting a further competition. The named Ambulance services are (correct at time of publication);
