Description of the contract

With the existing Contract expiring this summer (31/08/12) for The Provision of Health and Safety Training, the University of Wolverhampton is looking to re-tender this category and is therefore conducting this procurement with a view to putting in place a University Contract for the next three* years to cover the requirements of the University. *Plus an option to extend for a further 2 x 12mth periods (subject to satisfactory performance and agreement by both parties) In general the chosen Provider of Health and Safety Training for Staff will be required to provide courses and information in the following areas: • First aid courses; • First Aid at Work (3 day course) • First Aid at Work refresher (2 day course) • First Aid at Work – Annual refresher (1 day course) • Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day course) • Health and safety related courses**; • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) (1 day course); • Lifting and Handling skills (half day course); • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) (1 day course); • Practical use of fire extinguishers (half day course); • Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessors training (half day course). **we would also be interested in any other health and safety related training courses that you offer in your portfolio. The University is happy to accept bids to carry out all of the training or in part i.e. First aid related courses only or Health and Safety related courses only.
