Description of the contract

To provide a local Healthwatch Service for the Borough of Luton. Healthwatch Luton will be the new consumer champion for users of health and social care services in Luton.The service will provide a collective voice for the community that enables them to monitor and influence local health and social care services, and in addition, will provide information and signposting to help people in Luton make informed choices and access health and social care services.

How to apply

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.The Council consider this to be a Part B Service under the EU Directives.The maximum annual finance available for this contract will be GBP160000 per annum. The contract will be for an initial two years with an option to extend upto a further three years.
