Separate contracts will apply the Materials to the moorlands.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

1.The objective of this Contract is the Aerial Transport of Under Slung Loads of Materials from the Lift Site(s) as set out in the Invitation to Tender to the Works Site(s) as set out in the Invitation to Tender.
2. The Material for the purposes of the Tender shall consist of a variety of Materials (as set out in the Specification in the Tender) loaded in Dumpy Bags, or Heli Bags which are to be transported by helicopter as an Under Slung Load from the Lift Site(s) to the Works Site(s).
3. a. At the date of this notice the Contracting Authority cannot confirm the exact amounts (including the maximum or minimum number) or type of Material that will require Aerial Transport.
b. Tenderers will be notified of exact quantities at the pre contract meeting and confirmed by purchase order.
4. Aerial Load Lifting details (exact Lift Sites and Number of Bags/Containers are to be confirmed): Total 11 015 Bags.
a. Mossy Lea Farm: Lift Site Mossy Lea, Works=Brash, No. of Bags 5 015 (weight 125kg), average distance 2.3 km
b. Holme Moss Wessenden: Lift Site Wessenden Head, Works=Brash, No. of Bags 6 000 (weight 125 kg), average distance 1.6 km
5. For information purposes only, it is the Contracting Authority’s experience that the following weights are typical for each of the types of Materials being loaded;
a. One Dumpy Bag of Heather Brash — 125 kg
b. One Dumpy Bay of Heather Bales — 140 kg
c. One Dumpy Bag of Plug Plants — 160 kg
d. One Heli Bag of Footpath Pitching Stone — 800 kg
e. One Pallet of Flagstones — 800 kg
f. Other Materials and the relevant container for Aerial Transportation will be notified to the Contractor as required.
5. Deliveries of Materials to the Lift Sites are subject to separate contracts.
