In anticipation of successful funding applications for major road improvement schemes, South Tyneside Council, wishes to establish a Highways Engineering Contractor framework. Although no guarantees can be provided, the value of works to be placed via the framework is anticipated to be in the range GBP 15– GBP 20 000 000. Over the next 3-4 years there could be up to 4 schemes consisting of major junction and highway improvements. Each project may incorporate elements of new carriageway and footpath construction, local and major drainage works, utility diversions, retaining structures and other ancillary works.

Although no guarantees can be provided, the value of works to be placed via the framework is anticipated to be in the range GBP 15– GBP 20 000 000. Over the next 3-4 years there could be up to 4 schemes consisting of major junction and highway improvements. The contract will be for use by South Tyneside Council and any other body wholly owned or controlled by the Council, together with South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust, South Tyneside Housing Ventures Trust Ltd and any member of NEPO — follow link for list of included bodies (http://www.nepoportal.org)
