Description of the contract

Surrey County Council (SCC) and the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) are re-tendering their existing Home Based Care (HBC) support services contract, enabling vulnerable individuals to continue to live independently in their own homes. We are now seeking expressions of interest for the Any Qualified Provider (AQP) list. The ambition of SCC and CCGs is to work in partnership with providers to ensure the highest of quality care is delivered. The AQP has been developed in response to market pressures to guarantee a sufficient level of spare capacity, in a responsive and timely manner, whilst ensuring the quality of service is not affected by the increasing demand for domiciliary support services across Surrey. The AQP will offer provider the opportunity to work with SCC and the CCG over the next 5 years and support Commissioners (SCC & CCG) and the SPC providers to overcome challenges. The specification for the AQP is a generic specification, but it is expected a large volume will be focussed on delivery of support for older people. Services will aim to maximise individuals self care and independence and may include assistance with: – Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting); – Non-personal care (household and community activities)
