The council is seeking to appoint organisations to provide Home Care. This will be split into 2 lots as follows:
Lot 1 — To appoint one care provider, to transfer existing service users care packages and care staff under TUPE regulations in order to deliver approximately 2 047 hours per week of directly commissioned care and support to 113 residents and 802 hours per week of care and support via direct payments to 34 residents. Please note the overall domiciliary care in the Kirkby Area is split on a 50:50 basis with another current contracted provider. Any further new packages in this lot will be shared between the current contracted provider in the area and the successful provider of this lot. Please also note that TUPE applies this lot. To establish a framework of approved care providers in ranked order for any additional similar block contract hours that a need may arise for and for individual packages of care that cannot be accommodated by the existing block contract providers. The tenderers will be ranked according to the overall final score and those tenderers that have clearly demonstrated their ability to deliver the service requirements and implement the quality measures will be offered a framework contract. Any additional block contract hours or individual service user hours that cannot be accommodated by the existing block contract providers will be offered to the providers via the framework in ranked order. Note — Being offered a framework contract does not guarantee any hours or orders.
