The contract is for the provision of home to school services for three Lots:
Lot 1 – Tadcaster Grammar School,
Lot 2 – Fulford School,
Lot 3 – Huntington School, Manor CE Academy, Bishopthorpe Infants, Archbishop of York Junior, Poppleton Ousebank Primary, St Mary’s CE Primary, St Wilfrid’s RC Primary.
This service specification covers the requirements which are applicable to the3 lots.
To perform the Contract to the required standards the Contractor will need to have the following mandatory requirements in place:
— Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check at the ‘enhanced’ level for all employees;
— Fully Licensed vehicles and a Public Service Vehicles Operator Licence;
— All vehicles to be fitted with seatbelts;
— All vehicles to be a minimum Euro 2 standard and no older than 17 years old at the commencement date of the contract.
Please note that the below numbers are correct as of November 2012 but providers should note that these may vary during the lifetime of the contract.
Secondary Schools:
Fulford 578 pupils
Huntington 429 pupils
Joseph Rowntree 6 pupils
Manor CE Academy 125 pupils
Tadcaster Grammar School 371 pupils
Note that from September 2013 for a period of 2 years there will be the requirement for an additional bus to transport pupils to Joseph Rowntree School from the Tang Hall/Heworth area of the city (estimated number of pupils between 30 – 45, which will include the 6 pupils detailed above).

Bishopthorpe Infants/Archbishop of York Junior 6 pupils
Poppleton Ousebank 20 pupils
St Mary’s CE 14 pupils
St Wilfrid’s RC 46 pupils
Pupil postcode details for the above are included as Schedule 1in the ITT documentation.
There will be 190 school days per annum where the provider(s) will be expected to deliver the service. The Council reserves the right to vary the number of school days over the term of the contract.
