— Flows up to 106 Ml/d, taking into account individual process units being out of service for maintenance or refurbishment in line with outage management processes;
— Flows between 106-150 Ml/d, with all process units in operation.
A new process stream will be required, replacing the existing stream which is now beyond its asset life and which is to be demolished on commissioning of the new stream.

A high level Notional Solution has been developed to illustrate how the project objective and performance (water quality) requirements may be achieved and briefly comprises:
— New Surge suppression system for the raw water rising main;
— Provision of a new high rate sand ballasted clarification process;
— Provision of a new rapid gravity filtration process;
— Provision of a manganese removal process;
— Provision of ultra violet disinfection;
— High voltage asset refurbishment;
— Provision of a treated water service reservoir bypass;
— Increasing the capacity of the ancillary process systems, such as sludge handling, wash-water and chemicals;
— New potable water pumping station;
Scope includes all design, civils, M&E, process,control and instrumentation.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 40 000 000 GBP

Applicants are asked to note that this procurement process will be conducted electronically with all documents and communication being managed through the Northumbrian Water e-Sourcing Spend Management portal hosted by Ariba.
Expressions of interest must be sent to the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org before the deadline date on 30.1.2015 at 17:00. Once an expression of interest has been received that contains the information detailed below, applicants will be given access to the Ariba portal containing the pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ). The deadline for the return of the completed PQQ is the 6.2.2015 at 17:00.
