The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) is seeking expressions of interest from interested organisations for the above services and / or goods.
Description:
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to tender for the provision of services to increase public awareness of cancer. As part of the borough’s work to improve survival from cancer through earlier diagnosis, a small group of providers will engage with local residents in target groups to alert them to the common symptoms of cancer and to encourage early presentation to a GP.Contracted providers will work in partnership to ensure that all localities and target groups are reached and that there is no duplication of services.

We are interested receiving applications from organisations with

experience of engaging with, consulting and responding to local residents
experience of working with specified target groups in local communities through group and one-to-one activities
experience of identifying and reaching people who are at higher risk of poor health outcomes and who find it harder to access information and services
experience of successfully delivering health promotion to local people in partnership with the local NHS, Local Authority and voluntary sector organisations
knowledge and understanding of the cancer national awareness and early diagnosis initiative, and of specific local factors, outcomes and services in relation to cancer
The successful tenderer will be required to demonstrate:
Community gain and participation in delivery
Equity of access and delivery across the nine protected characteristics
Responsiveness to the needs of different groups

Contract start date:     1 April 2014

The total value of all contracts:           Up to £56,000 per annum

Contract period:          Two years with annual review/break clause

Consortia bids are welcomed, where two or more organisations agree to collaborate to deliver the required outcomes. However a lead organisation must be identified with whom the contract will be agreed and formal partnership/ sub-contracting arrangements

The successful tenderer will be required to demonstrate:

·         Community gain and participation in delivery
·         Equity of access and delivery across the nine protected characteristics
·         Responsiveness to the needs of different groups
