The contract is for a two year period with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months.
This tender is not being divided into lots for 2 main reasons:
— The partnership arrangements enable specialist organisations to retain that specialism whilst working with other organisations under one umbrella to extend the reach of advocacy and rebalance from the formal professional model to include informal and community advocacy. This would not be possible by dividing the tender into formal and informal lots.
— Value for money. Informal advocacy (which we aim to extend in this tender) has a lower unit cost than formal advocacy. Additionally, there is less cost to SCC in contract management, and a better offer to people in Suffolk, for example single point of contact.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: Suffolk County Council incorporates a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period from the point at which information on the award of contract is communicated to the tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before the contract is entered into.
If an appeal regarding the award of contract has not been successfully resolved: The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as amended provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or at risk of harm by a breach of the rules, to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Any such action must be brought promptly.’.
