Description

PROVIDER ENGAGEMENT EVENT – INTEGRATED SEXUAL HEALTH SERVICES –
17th December 2012.

Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (GEM CSU) is working on
behalf of the Local Authorities (“The Commissioners”), Leicester City,
Leicestershire County and Rutland, and are seeking expressions of interest
from suitably qualified and experienced providers for the provision of a new
Integrated Sexual Health Services. The service will be available to the
population of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR).

Please note that the current Sexual Health Services are provided by NHS
Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland. Responsibility for some of
the Sexual Health Services will transfer to the Local Authorities with Public
Health on the 1st April, 2013.

The Commissioners would like to invite potential providers of Sexual Health
Services to a Provider Engagement Event, which will be take place on
Monday 17th December 2012 at St. Johns House, Leicester, starting at 1
p.m.

The event is planned to provide an overview of the service/s required, along
with other information on such as the procurement process.

The aim of the service is to deliver a range of accessible, high-quality,
responsive, cost-effective, confidential, Integrated Sexual Health Services to
the population of (LLR) and to support the delivery of sexual health services
in primary care and other community settings through the provision of
professional training and co-ordination of a local managed sexual health
service network

The main objectives of the Integrated Sexual Health Service are:-

– To Commission a high quality cost effective integrated sexual health
service that meets the needs of the local population within the project
timescale
– Develop robust contracting and performance monitoring processes to
manage the integrated sexual health service
– Effective joint up clinical pathways are in place to services not in the scope
of this project

no later than 5 p.m. on the 13th December 2012 – you will then be sent full
details about the event – please note that due to the restrictions of the
venue, we would ask that only 2 representatives attend from each
organisation.

We would welcome interest from all types of organisations, including
Consortium or Partnerships.
