The replacement system must provide the current level of functionality. In addition to providing the existing intranet features mentioned above, the proposed solution should meet the following objectives: • To revise the look and feel of the intranet. This means making more information available and easier to access • To brand the intranet with the input of key stakeholders (to be identified), including the Communications team • To have a good search facility and improved navigation • Allow collaborative working to foster communications between departments and peer groups that might not otherwise communicate. An intranet may host these discussions. • Allow content management by non-IT specialists • Allow easy addition of web pages and links • The content and links should be database driven • To ensure that the solution may be developed and supported by Trust resource(s) • User interface should be capable of customisation by user e.g. the intranet learns which features a user accesses the most • Provide shared access and management of documents • To migrate relevant current contents e.g. documents, reference tables, web links • To enable Telephone number lookup • Clinical Hub access • Document management for controlled and uncontrolled documents. This should include the ability to audit documents viewed by users (including date and time) • A fully mobile, social/collaboration intranet
