Working with the Head of Service (Environment Commissioning) you will be the Directorate’s main advisor on all contaminated land related matters requiring a scientific input to secure and enhance the health and well-being of persons and the protection of the environment. You will also assist in the implementation, review and update of the council’s Air Quality Strategy and associated activities.
We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual who can provide interim contaminated land, advice, guidance, support and work predominantly on planning consultations on behalf of SCDC to cover the maternity leave for a valued officer.
The cover is required to start immediately until November 2015 (this may be extended). The individual is likely to be needed for a 37 hour week.
The location of the assignment is Cambourne in Cambridgeshire. Please note travel time will not be paid and this position is a combination of working remotely and office working.
