The development location is on Guy’s Campus at the heart of the vibrant and rapidly developing London bridge area, opposite the Shard and short walk from Borough Market, Tate Modern and Bermondsey Street. Science Gallery London will include exhibition galleries, event and informal meeting spaces, a theatre and café alongside a newly landscaped Georgian courtyard. The project is located on a key site at the corner of Great Maze Pond and St Thomas Street it will be an interface between the City, King’s College London and Guy’s Hospital. The building is grade 2 listed building and is in an environment of surrounding listed buildings.
