The 3 sites concerned and the number of apartments within each are:
Hall Road, Hull — 65 properties.
Cecil Street, Hawthorn Avenue, Hull — 95 properties.
Leads Road, Hull — 156 properties.
These extra care facilities shall become ready for their 1st occupants at staggered points from January 2017 through to July 2017.
There shall be a requirement for a maximum of 4 moves to be completed per day. To ensure that the moves are made as consistently as possible, but also to assist in the event of sudden illness / inability to move on an agreed date, then a ‘reserve’ contractor shall also be selected from this tender process. (This shall be the contractor finishing second overall following evaluation of all tender submissions).
To ensure the new facilities are occupied as smoothly as possible the Council is seeking a supplier to assist the 1st occupants to prepare for, and to then move them into, their destination extra care facility.
The successful supplier shall provide a service including boxes, paper and bubble wrap and packing tape. There shall also be a service to assist with the packaging of belongings and the unpacking of belongings when at the new residence.
The successful supplier shall also provide for the transport of all belongings to the new residence and shall also offer to discard any unwanted items.
