The Landscape Construction Framework Agreement is used mainly for minor specialist landscape works and is to be made available for use by other Local Authorities and/or Public Sector Organisations within the West Midlands.
BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. Description of particular conditions: When executing the contract in the UK the successful tenderer will be required to comply with the recommendations of the code of practice for the elimination of Racial Discrimination and the promotion of Equality of Opportunity in Employment published by the Commission for Racial Equality. The successful tenderer will be required to participate actively in the service related economic, social and environmental regeneration of the locality of and surrounding the place of delivery for the procurement. Accordingly, tender evaluation and contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social, economic and environmental considerations.

Birmingham City Council is acting on behalf of other contracting Authorities in the West Midlands that are represented by the Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (RIEP) for the West Midlands (and any of their statutory successors and organisations created as a result of reorganisation or organisational changes). These will include but not be limited Council’s, Fire and Rescue Authorities in the West Midlands or any public bodies affiliated to those Authorities that are represented by the Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (RIEP) for the West Midlands. The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. Requests to participate must be by way of completion and return of the pre-qualification questionnaire no later than 12:00 (GMT) on 10.9.2012. Tenderers will be required to supply to the authority evidence showing their economic and financial standing, technical ability including satisfactory policies and documentation for race relations, environment impact and health and safety. When executing the contract in the UK the successful tenderer will be required to comply with the recommendations of the ‘Code of Practice for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and the Promotion of Equality of Opportunity in Employment’ published by the Commission for Racial Equality. Under this contract the contractor will be required to support the contracting authority’s economic and social regeneration objectives. Accordingly contract performance and conditions may relate in particular social and environmental considerations.
