Aberdeen City Council requires the provision of an Intensive Support Service, commissioned by the Learning Disability Service within Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership. The service will provide immediate, intensive and robust support to individuals and services within the learning disability service which are facing impending crisis or significant change.
The service will be registered with the care inspectorate as a care at home and housing support service and will hold a suitable registration to provide direct support to individuals from aged 16 years.
The intensive support service will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The service will operate a mix of direct support delivery and on call support.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
The intensive support service will provide immediate, intensive and robust support to individuals and services within the learning disability service which are facing impending crisis or significant change. The service will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The service will operate a mix of direct support delivery and on call support.
Direct support may include the provision of personal care, personal support and housing support. Support may be delivered in a person’s own home /family home, in formal care settings, in clinical settings or in the community.
An on call system will be operated as part of the service and may be delivered in part via telephone or technology based support and in part by direct delivery of care and support.
Services will be delivered in all areas of Aberdeen.

III.1.4)Objective rules and criteria for participation
Bidders must confirm that they are appropriately registered with the care inspectorate for the services required.
Bidders will be required to provide examples that demonstrate that they have the relevant experience to deliver the services as described. A minimum of two examples will be required.
