Kirklees Council requires Buildings Insurance cover for 889 low, medium and high rise flats sold on lease under the provisions of the Housing Act 1985 – within the District of Kirklees. A full list of addresses and post codes of the properties can be provided if necessary. The type of insurance and cover: The policy is to provide indemnity to leaseholders against the following events: fire, lightning, explosion, aircraft, malicious persons, riot & civil commotion, subterranean fire, storm, flood, escape of water, impact any vehicle, theft, breakage or collapse of aerials, breakage of fixed glass and fixed sanitary ware, ad to supply pipes and cables, falling trees, leakage of oil, accidental damage, subsidence, ground heave and landslip. Sum insured approximately 80 000 000 GBP. Current policy expires 30.9.2012.
