Mansfield District Council (the ‘Authority’ or ‘Employer’) is seeking tenders from suitably experienced and qualified entities (the ‘Tenderer’) for the provision of services for Legionella Management in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive’s approved Code of Practice L8 (rev) ‘The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems’ and HSG 274 on a variety of public buildings.

Nottingham City Council is undertaking this procurement exercise on behalf of Mansfield District Council. Mansfield District Council are the Contracting Authority.
Mansfield District Council (the ‘Authority’ or ‘Employer’) is seeking tenders from suitably experienced and qualified entities (the ‘Tenderer’) for the provision of services for Legionella Management in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive’s approved Code of Practice L8 (rev) ‘The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems’ and HSG 274 on a variety of public buildings.
Services to be provided:
— attend management meetings with client,
— assess buildings to identify risk systems where required
— review and where necessary conduct detailed Legionella Risk Assessments for each building comprising risk systems, in accordance with L8, to identify and assess the sources of risk from Legionella and other pathogenic microorganisms in water systems,
— assess site risk potential and audit compliance score,
— prepare a written specific management scheme for each facility identified as having risk systems, to ensure that all health risks are managed and cold and hot water systems meet the required UK regulatory standards and Legionellos is related legislation,
— Undertake monthly, quarterly, 6 monthly and annual inspections and testing,
— the successful contractor must be a member of the Legionella Control Association (or equivalent) and relevant certification must be submitted with the application,
— the successful contractor must provide evidence of any certifications for your employees including DBS licences (or equivalent) which are a mandatory requirement.
