Lewes District Council has identified development and regeneration opportunities for up to 48 sites within their ownership across the District. The Council is seeking interest from potential partners to assist in the delivery of regeneration other community benefit on these sites. The sites are located across the District and vary in size, value and complexity of delivery. Each site will require a bespoke approach to realise value and minimise risk. The Council is looking for a partner who is willing and able to utilise their skills and resources to procure the development or potential disposal of all the sites.
The potential development partner will be required to provide planning promotion and marketing and sales advice and potentially development/development procurement and management.
The Council’s rationale is to achieve the following key objectives: Community benefit; Regeneration; Risk management; and Financial return.
The Council is seeking to work in partnership with a creative and innovative partner. The ability to deliver high quality development solutions which meet the aspirations of the local community and a mechanism which ensure that all sites are either built out or disposed will be critical.
The Council is looking to work with a partner to deliver or dispose of these sites over the next 10 years with option to extend for a further 5 years. A number of sites have already been identified for early delivery.
The project will be undertaken in accordance with the Council’s recently adopted Property Strategy and Regeneration Strategy.
