Luton Borough Council is responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day reactive repairs and maintenance to the buildings it owns, along with managing the cyclical maintenance and other minor works within these buildings.
Luton Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced facilities management consultants who can meet all of the legal requirements of Local Authority Contracts, for the provision of high quality lift management consultancy services.
Providers that meets Councils compliance requirements as well as support the council in its effort to deliver efficient, quality service at an improved cost with value for money.
The council is looking to engage with suppliers who can clearly demonstrate that they can utilise and take advantage of the latest thinking and innovative technologies and systems to operate, deliver and manage services for the Council that will deliver measurable and proven improvements in costs, efficiencies as well as service quality and responsiveness, through a strategy of continuous improvement throughout the life of the contract.
The authority is expecting to receive competitive submissions on the estimated value of this contract which is in the region of £250 000 [for 3 years].
The new contracts will start from 1.9.2013. Contract will be for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years, reviewed continually based on performance.
